Voici (enfin !) l’annonce officielle de la très attendue Death Star 75159, le nouveau set UCS (Ultimate Collector’s Series) LEGO Star Wars.
Pas de surprise donc, après les premières fuites et les photos prises dans un LEGO Store américain : ce set contient 4.016 pièces (23 minifigs) et sera commercialisé en Allemagne à 499,99€ (espérons que le prix ne soit pas encore plus élevé en France…). Cela fait donc 213 pièces et une centaine d’euros de plus que la précédente version LEGO 10188 récemment retirée du catalogue (et c’est surtout ça qui fait mal vu le peu de nouveauté par rapport à l’ancien modèle…).
Les réactions vont très probablement continuer à être fortes de la part des fans, avec d’un côté ceux qui possèdent déjà le précédent modèle et/ou qui attendaient une véritable mise à jour plutôt qu’un léger rafraîchissement et de l’autre ceux qui sortent ne possèdent pas la Death Star 10188 et sont donc heureux de pouvoir mettre facilement la main sur un modèle équivalent.
Dans les notes qui accompagnent le communiqué, LEGO assume totalement ce remake mais précise au passage « This is not an indication of any future re-release or set updates ». En bref, ce n’est pas parce qu’ils font un remake avec ce set qu’ils en referont d’autres ensuite (le suspense reste donc entier pour savoir si un jour le légendaire Millennium Falcon 10179 aura lui aussi droit à un retour…).
Le set sera officiellement disponible au 1er octobre 2016, avec normalement une mise en vente anticipée pour les membres du programme LEGO VIP à partir du 15 septembre prochain.
